Action Tesa, India, has selected international technology group ANDRITZ to supply a pressurized refining system for its new medium-density fiberboard (MDF) production facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.
Start-up of the new system is scheduled for the second quarter of 2026.

With a capacity of 33 t/h, the pressurized refining system will significantly enhance the customer’s fiber production capabilities. The heart of the system is a 20” plug screw feeder featuring state-of-the-art compression housing with AdvaProtect segments. This allows for servicing directly at the customer site without the need for a spare housing. The system also includes an S1056 refiner, a pressurized digester with counterflow and steam regulation, as well as a C-Feeder concept for enhanced material handling.

“We are excited to partner with ANDRITZ for our new MDF line. Its reputation for delivering reliable, high-performance fiber processing systems made it the ideal choice for this important project. We look forward to a successful collaboration and a smooth start-up in 2026,” says Vivek Jain, Managing Director at Action Tesa.

The value of the order will not be disclosed. It is included in ANDRITZ’s order intake for the third quarter of 2025.
