Metro Decorative Pvt. Ltd., India, has placed an order with international technology group ANDRITZ for the supply of a second pressurised refining system to its medium-density fiberboard (MDF) production facility in Kashipur, Uttarakhand.
Following the successful performance of the first line installed at the Kashipur facility, Metro Decorative has once again selected ANDRITZ to support its growth in MDF production. The new system is scheduled to start up in the third quarter of 2026.
The scope of supply includes a pressurised refining system with a capacity of 30 t/h. Key components are the powerful S1056 refiner for high-performance fibre production, a 20” plug screw feeder with improved wear resistance, and a pressurised digester with counterflow and steam regulation. This refiner is compatible with production rates exceeding 1000 m3/day, enabling greater output and scalability.
Aman Garg, Director of Metro Decorative, said: “Our first collaboration with ANDRITZ delivered excellent results, and we are confident that this new system will further strengthen our production capabilities. We value ANDRITZ’s expertise and innovative approach to fibre processing.”
