ITP Aero Expands Aerospace Manufacturing in Hyderabad

ITP Aero has started construction of a new aerospace manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, India, expanding its industrial operations in the region after 15 years of local activity. The new site is scheduled to become operational in 2027 and will manufacture commercial aviation engine components for the global civil aerospace market.

The expansion increases the company’s manufacturing footprint in India and supports rising global demand for fabricated and machined engine parts used in commercial aviation programs. The project also reflects continued investment in India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem, particularly in Telangana’s growing industrial and supply chain infrastructure.

Facility to support commercial aviation engine production
The Hyderabad facility will produce fabrication and machining components for commercial aircraft engines, strengthening ITP Aero’s role within international aerospace supply chains. Aerospace engine manufacturing requires high-precision machining, advanced metallurgy, and strict quality control processes to meet certification and reliability standards for civil aviation applications.

The company stated that the new plant will complement its existing operations in Hyderabad, where it has established engineering, manufacturing, and workforce capabilities over the past decade and a half.

The expansion aligns with increasing global aircraft production requirements and long-term fleet growth forecasts across the civil aerospace sector. Demand for engine components continues to rise as aircraft manufacturers and engine suppliers increase output to address airline fleet modernization and delivery backlogs.

Skilled workforce expansion in Telangana
According to the company, the new facility will create more than 350 skilled jobs over the next five years, in addition to approximately 250 existing manufacturing positions already operating in Hyderabad.

The project is expected to contribute to regional industrial development by expanding aerospace manufacturing capacity and strengthening technical employment opportunities in machining, fabrication, engineering, and supply chain operations.

As part of the expansion, ITP Aero recently appointed Sandeep Sharma as Managing Director for India operations. Sharma brings more than two decades of aerospace industry experience, including leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney across supply chain management, business development, finance, and customer service.

Telangana strengthens aerospace manufacturing ecosystem
The expansion reinforces Hyderabad’s role as an emerging aerospace and advanced manufacturing hub within India. Telangana has continued attracting aerospace investments due to its industrial infrastructure, engineering talent base, and integration into global aerospace supply chains.

Carlos Alzola, Managing Director of ITP Aero Group, stated that the expansion reflects the company’s long-term confidence in Hyderabad’s manufacturing capabilities and regional workforce.

Sridhar Babu, Telangana’s Minister of Industries, said the project would strengthen the state’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem while supporting local capability development and integration into global production networks.

Growth supported by global aerospace demand
The Hyderabad expansion comes during a period of continued financial growth for ITP Aero. In 2025, the company reported revenues of €1.88 billion, representing 17% year-on-year growth, while EBITDA increased by 28% to €379 million.

The company also announced plans to invest €1.2 billion globally in research and development and capital expenditure by 2030 across its international operations.

Comparable aerospace manufacturing investments are typically evaluated based on machining precision capability, supply chain integration, workforce specialization, production scalability, and compliance with commercial aviation certification standards. The growing aerospace manufacturing ecosystem in India is increasingly positioning the country as a strategic production base for global aviation suppliers and OEMs.
