SIMODEC 2024 brings together global innovation in the sector

The first trade show of the year 2024, after the EMO World Machine Tool Exhibition in Hanover in September 2023, the SIMODEC 2024 International Exhibition for Bar Turning and the Precision Mechanics Fabrication Industry will be the first in France to present the latest innovations essential to investment in the sector. The 70th anniversary of SIMODEC will also combine innovation with the transmission of knowledge over 5 convivial days, from 12 noon on monday 4 march to 2 pm until friday 8 march, at the Haute-Savoie Exhibition Centre.

After two months of exhibitor registration, event organiser ROCHEXPO has announced that the world's leading manufacturers of machine tools and tooling, as well as top-level specialists in precision mechanical manufacturing and bar turning, will be attending SIMODEC 2024. With the number of exhibitors registered in line with forecasts and the confirmation of the 1,000m2 SMILE space, the show's objectives open up ambitious prospects for the industry.

A show of choice for investment
The world's leading manufacturers are in the process of registering for SIMODEC 2024. Among them, BIGLIA, BROTHER, CMZ, DMG-MORI, DN Solutions (ex-Doosan), FUJI, HAAS Automation, MATSUURA, MAZAK, NAKAMURA, OKUMA, SODICK or their representatives are already planning to exhibit their latest precision machining machine tools. The international bar turning and precision mechanical manufacturing specialists CITIZEN, ESCO, INDEX, TORNOS, SCHUTTE and STAR Machines are doing the same. Many of them will be competing in the 2024 Innovation Awards.

These should reveal the strong trends towards greater energy efficiency, as well as the growing integration of Artificial Intelligence in Industry 4.0. Suppliers of cutting tools and tooling, quality control, automation and robotics are also well represented, or are in the process of registering. Faced with changing markets and recruitment demands for excellence in the workshops, professional investors will be able to find out in detail about the material and human resources required for top-level mechanical manufacturing, which is vital to the success of their business.

A show of choice for precision trades
To help overcome recruitment difficulties, the show organisers and their partners are preparing a series of events to demonstrate the benefits of a career in bar turning and precision engineering. Positioned at the entrance to the upper hall, the SMILE exhibition is once again being organised by the Syndicat National du Décolletage SN-Dec at SIMODEC 2024. Bringing together all the professions in a company in the sector, the SMILE aims to help secondary school pupils and students, as well as their teachers, discover the appeal of these professions. As part of this effort to raise the profile of these professions, educational trails will show visitors the diversity and interest of operating the latest-generation machines and systems. Seasoned professionals will be interested to discover the many possibilities offered by Industry 4.0. Only they will be able to imagine how the solutions on offer can be effectively adapted to optimise their operations.

As a trade show on a human scale, SIMODEC 2024 aims to meet the need for professionals to meet and exchange ideas, with answers that can't be found anywhere else.
