Qualcomm, CP PLUS Partner to Launch India-Focused AI Video Intelligence Platform

India’s industrial, commercial and public safety environments increasingly require video systems that go beyond passive monitoring, offering real-time analytics, secure data processing and scalable deployment. Addressing these needs, CP PLUS and Qualcomm Technologies have partnered to develop an AI-enabled video intelligence platform that integrates advanced on-device processing with a nationwide camera ecosystem.

Edge-based video intelligence for high-volume environments
The platform is built on Qualcomm’s Dragonwing™ processors and the Qualcomm Insight Platform, enabling AI inference directly on edge devices rather than relying on cloud infrastructure. Processing video on-site reduces latency, supports uninterrupted operation in environments with limited connectivity, and allows sensitive footage to remain air-gapped for compliance and data-protection requirements.

For Video Management Systems (VMS), the solution introduces an edge-box model that centralizes actionable analytics across enterprises, public infrastructure, residential complexes and industrial facilities. By adopting an insight-driven architecture, customers can deploy intelligent monitoring without major changes to existing networks.

Transition from traditional CCTV to real-time, insight-driven systems
The Qualcomm Insight Platform shifts video security from passive archival footage to event-driven analytics. Using multimodal AI models, the system can detect operational conditions—such as PPE compliance, crowd density, blocked emergency routes or abnormal movement patterns—and trigger immediate alerts.

A built-in generative AI assistant allows operators to query events using natural language and quickly retrieve time-sensitive information. This reduces manual review workloads and supports faster decision-making in logistics, safety oversight, perimeter protection and facility management.

Applications for industrial, retail and public infrastructure
The collaboration targets industries where reliability and responsiveness are critical:
  • Manufacturing sites and warehouses can automate safety audits, equipment-use checks, and workflow monitoring.
  • Public venues and transport hubs can optimize crowd movement and enhance situational awareness during high-risk events.
  • Retailers can analyze footfall dynamics and shopper behavior to refine store layouts and resource allocation.
  • Smart cities can expand traffic, pedestrian and emergency-response intelligence without increasing backend complexity.
Designed for India’s large-scale deployment needs, the system supports high camera density and can be integrated across existing CP PLUS installations.

Building a scalable AI ecosystem for India
CP PLUS contributes its manufacturing and distribution footprint, while Qualcomm Technologies supplies edge compute, on-device AI acceleration and system integration tools. Together, they aim to make advanced video analytics accessible to enterprises without requiring extensive server infrastructure or cloud migration.

Commercial availability of the joint platform is expected in Q1 2026, with a focus on enterprise, institutional and public-sector adoption.
