Waaree Energies Ltd., one of India’s leading clean energy transition companies, has secured a 300 MW solar module supply order from Sembcorp Green Infra Private Limited. The order strengthens Waaree’s position as a key domestic supplier for utility-scale renewable energy projects.
Under the agreement, Waaree will supply its G12R TOPCon dual-glass bifacial modules for Sembcorp’s upcoming solar installations in Rajasthan. Designed for high energy yield and long-term durability, the bifacial modules will support the development of reliable, utility-grade solar assets. Deliveries under this contract will contribute to Waaree’s expanding portfolio of renewable energy deployments across India.
“This order underscores Waaree’s capability to deliver high-efficiency, future-ready solar technology at scale,” said Sunil Rathi, Executive Director, Waaree Energies. “As India expands its renewable footprint, we remain committed to enabling utility-grade projects with solutions that combine innovation, reliability, and world-class manufacturing.”
Module technology highlights
Waaree’s G12R TOPCon bifacial modules offer several advantages for large solar projects, including high bifaciality for improved energy yield, strong low-light and high-temperature performance, enhanced durability through dual-glass construction, and lower levelized cost of energy (LCOE).
The order reflects the growing shift toward domestically manufactured, high-technology solar solutions. As India advances toward its 500 GW non-fossil energy capacity target, locally produced, high-efficiency modules are playing an increasingly important role in supporting large-scale renewable energy deployment nationwide.
